કપિલ શર્માના શોમાં ડો. મશહૂર ગુલાટીના નામનથી ફેમસ થયેલા સુનીલ ગ્રોવર સાથે ઈવેન્ટ મેનેજમેન્ટ કંપની પર અમદાવાદમાં છેતરપીંડીની ફરિયાદ નોંધાઈ છે. અમદાવાદના ઈવેન્ટ ઓર્ગેનાઈઝરે મેટ્રોપોલિટન કોર્ટમાં આ  અંગેની અરજી કરી છે.  જેના અનુસંધાને એડિશનલ ચીફ મેટ્રોપોલિટન મૅજિસ્ટ્રેટ  એચ. આર. શાહે નવરંગપુરા પોલીસને તપાસનો આદેશ કર્યો છે. અને આ તપાસનો અહેવાલ 60 દિવસમાં કોર્ટને સુપરત કરવા તાકીદ કરી છે.

અમદાવાદના જસુપૂજા ઇવેન્ટ મૅનેજમેન્ટ કંપનીના રાજપાલ શાહે ‘કોમેડી નાઇટ વિથ કપિલ શર્મા’ કાર્યક્રમના સહકલાકારો સુનીલ ગ્રોવર, સુનંદા મિશ્રા, કીકુ શારદા, ચંદન પ્રભાકર અને અલી અસગર સહિતના કલાકારો સાથે અમદાવાદમાં એક કોમેડી નાઇટનું આયોજન કર્યું હતું. આ માટે તેમણે 4 એપ્રિલે સુનીલ ગ્રોવર માટે ઇવેન્ટ મૅનેજમેન્ટનું કામ સંભાળતા એક્સફેક્ટર એન્ટરટેઇનમેન્ટના દેવાંગ શાહનો સંપર્ક સાધ્યો હતો. દેવાંગ શાહે સર્વિસ ટેક્સ ઉપરાંત રૂ. 40 લાખમાં ઇવેન્ટ યોજવા 6 કલાકારની બિઝનેસ ક્લાસની અને અન્ય સ્ટાફ માટે 12 ઇકોનોમી ક્લાસની રિટર્ન ટિકિટની વ્યવસ્થા કરવા પણ કહ્યું હતું. સાથેસાથે ઇવેન્ટની મૂળ રકમની 10 ટકા રકમ રૂ. 10 લાખ ઇવેન્ટના  10 દિવસ પહેલાં જમા કરાવવા  કહ્યું હતું. આયોજકે 5 એપ્રિલે રૂ. 10 લાખ દેવાંગના એકાઉન્ટમાં જમા કરાવ્યા હતા. 10 જૂને ઇવેન્ટ યોજવાનું નક્કી કરાયું હતું. પછીથી વ્યસ્તતાને કારણે ઇવેન્ટની તારીખ 27 મેએ નિર્ધારિત કરી હતી. સુનીલ ગ્રોવરે સુનંદા મિશ્રા સિવાય કલાકારો ઇવેન્ટમાં હાજર રહેશે, તેવી આયોજકને ખાતરી આપી હતી. દરમિયાન સુનીલ ગ્રોવર સહિતના કલાકારો 8 એપ્રિલે અમદાવાદના કેન્સવિલેમાં ઇવેન્ટ માટે આવ્યા હતા. આ સમયે આયોજકે તેમની મુલાકાત કરી હતી. એ સમયે 27 મે ફરહાન અખ્તરનો શૉ છે. અને અમારે આ શૉમાં પરફોર્મ કરવાનું હોઈ તારીખ બદલીને 21 મેએ ઇવેન્ટ રાખવા ભલામણ કરી હતી. આયોજકે સુનીલની આ વાત સાથે સંમતિ દર્શાવી હતી. આયોજકે સ્થળનું બુકિંગ, ટિકિટ વિતરણ સહિતની કામગીરી શરૂ કરી  દીધી હતી. ત્યાર પછી દેવાંગે આયોજક સાથે રકઝક કરી અમદાવાદમાં શૉ થઈ શકે તેવી શક્યતા જ ન હોવાનું કહીને તેના બેન્ક ખાતાંમાં રૂ. 10 લાખ પરત કર્યા. દરમિયાન 27 મેએ અન્ય ઇવેન્ટ મૅનેજમેન્ટ કંપની સાથે મળીને અમદાવાદમાં શૉ યોજાવાની જાણ થતાં આયોજકે કોર્ટમાં ફરિયાદ કરી હતી.તૈયારી દર્શાવી હતી.
