રમવા- કૂદવાની ઉંમરમાં જો બાળકો હાથમાં બંદૂક કે ચાકુ ઉઠાવે, પોર્ન સાઈટ જુએ, મોંઘી કાર કે મોબાઈલની ડિમાન્ડ કરે તો ચિંતા થવી સ્વાભાવિક છે. આવી ચિંતા આજકાલના બાળકોની બેહૂદી હરકતો જોઈને તેમના પેરેન્ટ્સને ચિંતા થવા માંડી છે. પ્રશ્ન એ થાય છે કે આજકાલ બાળકોમાં કેમ વધી રહી છે આવી આક્રમકતા 
 
? તેનાં કારણો જાણવાની કોશિશ કરીએ. સાઈકોલોજિસ્ટના મત મુજબ ૧૪ થી ૧૮ની ઉંમરના બાળકોમાં આક્રમકતાનું સ્તર ધીમે ધીમે વધવા લાગે છે. વળી તેઓને 
 
ટીવી, કમ્પ્યુટર, વીડિયો ગેમ, મોબાઈલ, આઈપોડ જેવી મોંઘી ચીજોને પોતાનો શોખ બનાવી દીધો છે. ચેસ, લૂડો, કેરમ જેવી ઈન્ડોર ગેમ કે આઉટડોર 
 
ગેમ તેમને પસંદ નથી.
પેરેન્ટ્સ શું કરે?
 
આજના મોટા ભાગના પેરેન્ટ્સ પોતાની વ્યસ્તતાને કારણે બાળકો માટે સમય કાઢવા અસમર્થ છે. તેથી તેઓ બાળકોને મોંઘાં રમકડાં આપીને ખુશ રાખે છે. એવામાં 
 
બાળકો પણ પેરેન્ટ્સની નબળાઈનો લાભ ઉઠાવી તેઓ પાસેથી ઈલેકટ્રોનિક્ ગેજેટ્સ, કાર, બાઈક જેવી મોંઘી ચીજોની ડિમાન્ડ કરી મેળવે છે અને પેરેન્ટ્સ તેને ન 
 
અપાવે તો તેનો વ્યવહાર- વર્તન આક્રમક બની જાય છે. પરિવારનો માહોલ બાળકોના વિકાસમાં મહત્ત્વની ભૂમિકા નિભાવે છે. ઘરમાં વારંવાર ઝઘડા થતા હોય 
 
તો બાળકો પણ આવું જ શીખે છે. વળી, પોતાની આર્થિક સ્થિતિ ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને બાળકોની ડિમાન્ડ પૂરી કરો. નહીં તો તેને મોંઘી ચીજો લેવાની ટેવ પડી જશે. 
 
અને પછી તેને સમજાવવા મુશ્કેલ બની જાય છે.
એલર્ટ રહો
 
– બાળકોના નિક્ટના દોસ્તોને જાણો. તેઓ ક્યાં રહે છે, તેનો મોબાઈલ કે ઘરનો નંબર નોટ કરો.
– મોબાઈલ રિચાર્જ માટે પ્રીપેઈડ કૂપન જ આપો.
– તેનો મોબાઈલ ક્યારેક તમારી પાસે રાખીને તેના કોલ્સ અટેન્ડ કરો. એનાથી તમારા બાળકની ગતિવિધિ અને દોસ્તોની જાણકારી મળશે.
– અઠવાડિયામાં એકાદ વાર તેના બેડરૂમ, વોર્ડરોબ, બુક શેલ્ફ વગેરેની સફાઈ કરો. અને ચેક કરો કે તેના રૂમમાં કોઈ જોખમકારક ચીજ, શરાબ, સિગારેટ 
 
વગેરે નથી ને…
– જો ઈન્ટરનેટ હોય તો તેની પર એડલ્ટ વેબસાઈટ્સને બ્લોક કરો.
– સ્કૂલમાં ક્લાસ ટીચર્સને મળતા રહી બાળકનું ભણતર, વર્તન, દોસ્તો વિશે જાણો. તેને ઉપદેશ ન આપતાં દોસ્તની જેમ પેશ આવોે.
– બાળકને વિશ્ર્વાસમાં લઈને તેની પસંદ- નાપસંદ, પરેશાની, તકલીફો વિશે વાત કરીને જાણો. અને તેના પર વધુ પડતી પાબંધી ન મૂકો.
– તમારી આર્થિક સ્થિતિનો ખ્યાલ આપો.
– બાળક ઝઘડીને આવે તો તેના ઝઘડાનું કારણ જાણવા પ્રયાસ કરો.
